What will your legacy be?

Will you leave your mark and achieve what you hoped you would be in life?

It is a serious question. Life goes by fast and hectic, so unless you deliberately hit the pause button to think about it, you might find that by the time you get around to it, the best years are gone.

It’s not scare-mongering. It’s common sense.  The simple question to reflect on whether what you are doing in life / career is going to leave the mark you hoped for.

When I realised that I was off-track working every hour under the sun but not getting what I wanted from my life, I knew it was time to change.

I started to deliberately follow my heart and soul. I thought about what legacy I wanted to leave behind but also what impact I wanted to have in the present. It changed everything.

Time is a precious commodity. It is finite. When it is gone, it’s gone, so how you spent your precious moments of time is essential.

You have a choice in this matter. You can waste time. You can mis-use time. You can squander time away in places or on people who do not deserve your time. At the end of it all, you won’t get that time back – it’s gone. How will you feel about the life / career you have led? Will it be regret? Or will you have made your mark in the way you hope?

You have a choice in this matter. You can spend your time doing what you love, with who matters most to you. You can invest time on yourself to grow and develop and feel fulfilled. You can invest time on others who deserve what you have to offer the world. How will you feel when you know you’ve had a life well-lived? Will you be satisfied that you have made the moments count?
